Horses bring joy to millions of people and help make those with the deepest of wounds whole again, but tens of thousands of horses, donkeys, and mules are victims of abuse and neglect each year and there are still just under 20,000 horses being shipped across our borders for slaughter.
NO HORSE should be subjected to this inhumane fate. There are solutions within our reach for America's horses that need a lifeline. Programs providing equine-assisted therapeutic services offer endless career opportunities in addition to grass roots recreational and competitive roles for horses in transition. Horses have the amazing ability to inspire, empower and heal.
We hope to build consensus within the equine industry to embrace solutions for equines in transition other than shipping them across our borders for slaughter. At the core is the need for all horse lovers to speak up that America's horses enhance our lives and need our protection and take the pledge!

While no donation is required, each individual who takes the pledge will have their own customized fundraising page to encourage donations from among their family, friends and associates.
Pledge takers who give or raise $1,000 or more by August 25 will be entered into a drawing to win a PRICELESS luxury limited edition of CWD's Classic Hunter Mademoiselle Saddle, celebrating the production of CWD's 100,000th saddle. CWD has graciously donated this luxury saddle to the EQUUS Foundation, designed by the CWD team with the finest materials and featuring a vegetable-tanned chestnut buffalo leather lining, 18-carat gold-plated studs and gold Swarovski crystal inlays.
The winner will be announced at the EQUUS Foundation Equine Adoption event, sponsored by Georgina Bloomberg, on Monday, August 28. The winner does not have to be present to win.
The winner will be contacted by one of CWD's saddle experts for a fitting session to adapt the saddle perfectly for the winner and the winner's horse.
